The Friends of the Library are a nonprofit group who provide support for library programs and services in so many ways! A library with dedicated Friends group is very fortunate.
The Friends of the Library meet with the Library Director monthly on the 2nd Thursday at 6:00pm to discuss fundraisers, programming, special events, and the needs of the library.
Thanks to funds raised at the Friends' Used Book Sale and Bake Sale, the library is able to fulfill our portion of a matching grant from the Pilcrow Foundation. Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers! We appreciate all that you do.
The Friends hold two used books sales annually. The sale books come from community donations and discards from library shelves. The fall/winter book sale also includes a bake sale with delicious home-baked goodies.
In October, the Friends like to warm up with a bowl of soup, and serve it up to their neighbors. They host the Soup and Salad Supper fundraiser in the library with their amazing homemade soups. It is always a great way to gather.
2023 marked the first year of an event that the Friends hope will become annual. Baked potatoes, a variety of toppings, warm drinks, and dessert made for good start to our spring.
We love our patrons, so feel free to visit during normal library hours.
